Veteran Portuguese manager, Jose Mourinho has been linked with a sensational return to English football this week, just days following his exit from Italian Seria A side, Roma \u2013 who relived the former FC Porto coach from his duties with the Giallorossi earlier this week. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mourinho, a former manager at the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United, Inter Milan, and Real Madrid, was sacked by AS Roma earlier this week<\/a> \u2013 ending his tenure with the Italian side, whom he two and a half years ago, and guided to a UEFA Conference League victory back in the 2021\/2022 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And with former midfield stalwart, Daniele De Rossi linked with the immediate hot seat at his former side, a surprising and rather leftfield opportunity has arisen for Jose Mourinho, who has been linked with the helm of Newcastle United in a stunning comeback to English football, amid recent struggles from head coach, Eddie Howe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With odds available as short as 7\/2 on Jose Mourinho to land the managerial job at St. James\u2019 Park, only a job in a move to the Saudi Pro League<\/a>, or a return to his FC Porto are less likely than a stunning move back to the Premier League according to multiple bookmakers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Moving to Italy firstly with Internazionale, Jose Mourinho guided the capital club to an unprecedented treble of Serie A, Coppa Italia, and UEFA Champions League wins, before departing for Real Madrid pastures, where he lifted La Liga and the Copa del Rey.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore linked with a potential move to national team management for the first time in his serial gold-laden career, Mourinho\u2019s availability is unlikely to force the Portuguese FA to consider the position of recently appointed head coach, Roberto Martinez, who has enjoyed a winning run with the side.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
