9. Gerard Cieslik<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Gerard Cieslik played for Ruch Chorzow from 1944 to 1959, scoring 167 times in 237 matches. He won three Polish League titles and was Ekstraklasa\u2019s top scorer twice. For Poland, he netted 27 times in 54 caps, most notably hitting two goals against Eastern European rivals Soviet Union in 1957.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8. Ernest Willimowski<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Ernest Willimowski scored an impressive 34 goals in only 30 games for Poland from 1934 to 1939. In a career that began during the pre-war era and was disrupted by the outbreak of World War Two, he still registered over 400 goals in approximately 300 club games for a host of Polish teams. Willimowski most famously scored four times against Brazil during a round-of-16 game at the 1938 FIFA World Cup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. Zbigniew Boniek<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Midfielder Zbigniew Boniek played 419 games for the likes of Widzew Lodz, Juventus and Roma, scoring 113 club goals in total. He struck 24 times in 80 caps for Poland including two goals at the 1982 World Cup. Boniek won the 1985 European Cup with Juventus and finished third in the 1982 Ballon d\u2019Or.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Ernest Pohl<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Ernest Pohl scored 39 goals in 46 appearances for his country. During the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome he found the net five times during a 6-1 win against Tunisia. He remains the most prolific Polish First Division scorer with 186 goals for Legia Warsaw and Gornik Zabrze. Pohl claimed the Ekstraklasa league title a total of ten times and the Polish Cup twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Andrzej Szarmach<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Andrzej Szarmach has 32 strikes for Poland in 61 international matches. Prior to the 1974 FIFA World Cup he was virtually unknown yet notably scored five goals during the tournament. Szarmach scored 297 times in 523 games for the likes of Gornik Zabrze, Mielec and Auxerre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Kazimierz Deyna<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Kazimierz Deyna hit 41 goals in 97 caps for his national team. Scoring 45 goals in a century of games for Poland, Grzegorz Lato was top scorer at the 1974 World Cup with 7 goals as his country finished third. He found the net 165 times in 447 club appearances for Stal Mielec, Belgium\u2019s KSC Lokeren and Mexican side Atlante. Lato won the Polish Premier League in 1973 and 1976 along with a CONCACAF Champions Cup during his time at Atlante.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Wlodzimierz Lubanski<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Wlodzimierz Lubanski scored 48 times in 78 caps for a Polish side that claimed victory at the Summer Olympics in 1972. He registered 367 goals across 627 matches, most notably for Gornik Zabrze and Lokeren. Lubanski won 13 Polish League and Cup titles whilst also being named Ekstraklasa\u2019s top scorer across four consecutive seasons from 1965 to 1969.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
