Last season manager Thomas Frank led Brentford to a 16th-place finish in the Premier League. The likes of Yoane Wissa and Ivan Toney performed well as the Bees managed to avoid the drop with games to spare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brentford has signed 23-year-old forward Igor Thiago from Club Brugge for \u00a330 million along with Ji-Soo Kim and Ben Winterbottom. 6. Wolves<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Wolves finished a mediocre 14th at the end of Gary O\u2019Neil\u2019s first season in charge at Molineux. Mathews Cunha and Hee-chan Hwang were stand-out stars across a largely frustrating campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Midfielder Rodrigo Gomes has joined the club from Braga for a fee of almost \u00a310 million along with Brazilian Pedro Lima. O\u2019Neil will aim for at least a top-ten spot this coming season yet are at 10\/3 to drop out of the Premier League.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Everton<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Last campaign Everton managed only a 15th-place finish under Sean Dyce following a series of FFP-related points deductions. It did prove however a solid season for the likes of Jordan Pickford, Jarrad Branthwaite, and Amadou Onana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Toffees have since signed center-back Jake O\u2019Brien from Lyon for almost \u00a320 million and Senegal forward Iliman Ndiaye from Marseille for a fee of around \u00a315 million. Dyce will be desperate for some consistency and stability for the upcoming campaign. The odds of them being relegated from the top flight are 11\/4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Nottingham Forest<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Nuno Espirito Santo guided Nottingham Forest to Premier League survival and 17th place last season. The campaign\u2019s stars were Morgan Gibbs-White, Antony Elanga, and young wing-back Neco Williams.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Elliot Anderson\u2019s arrival from Newcastle United for \u00a340 million is their most notable buy so far with Nikola Milenkovic at around \u00a310 million an intelligent purchase too. Forest will now expect to push their way up the table following even further investment this summer but are still at odds of around 9\/4 to be relegated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Southampton<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n

Last season Southampton secured their promotion back to the Premier League following a 1-0 play-off victory versus Leeds United. Goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu, Adam Armstrong, and striker Che Adams were all highlights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Saints have acquired the likes of centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Manchester City and Flynn Downes arrives from West Ham. Fans will be hoping that manager Russell Martin can mount a challenge for survival after their promotion. Southampton sit at even odds of 1\/1 to immediately return to the Championship. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ipswich Town gained automatic promotion to the Premier League last season as they finished just one point behind eventual Championship winners Leicester City. Star players included top scorer Conor Chaplin and the club’s player of the year Sam Morsy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New signings include forward Gassan Ahadme from Charlton for a fee of around \u00a31 million and midfielder Idris El Mizouni from Oxford United in a deal worth in the region of \u00a3500,000. Kieran McKenna will be looking to surprise doubters in a bid for survival. However, Ipswich sees odds of around 5\/6 against facing immediate relegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
